The 2009 Puma Rimland Pacific Cup
will be accepting
Girl's Under 11 through 19 teams.
  • U11 Divisions will play 9 a-side with max. roster of 14 players on 50 yd x 90 yd fields
  • U12-19 Divisions play 11 a-side on with max rosters of 18 players on full size fields
Puma and the Whatcom Sports Commission are proud to sponsor the 20th Annual 2009 Puma Rimland Pacific Cup Tournament. This tournament focuses on bringing in the highest level girls' teams throughout the Western United States and Western Canada to the Northwest Soccer Park. The Rimland Pacific Cup has a superb history of providing high level girls competition, and has a reputation of being a well-organized, first class tournament.

The Puma Rimland Pacific Cup will be offering FREE RV Camping on a first come-first serve basis. Camping will only be permitted on in the southeast section of the Northwest Soccer Park, please refer to NWSP Field Map for location.
The camping area will open on Friday morning August 7.

Please follow the following procedure to apply--please scroll down and read instructions completely:

1.  Complete the Puma Rimland Pacific Cup Tournament Registration Form.

2. Complete Puma Rimland Pacific Cup Roster Form  or WSYSA Bozi roster must include players names, birth dates, jersey numbers, and indicate guest players. Final roster must also be signed by your association or club registrar 
3.  Send completed registration, and roster form along with your payment to Puma Rimland Pacific Cup, 1225 Civic Field Way, Bellingham, WA 98229--Accept only check, money order or cashier's check in US Funds for payment--WE DO ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS FOR A FEE OF $15.
4.  Application is not complete until registration form, payment and roster are received at the tournament office.
5.  Upon receiving your application, the WSC staff will send an e-mail notifying you we have received your squad's application.
Please note: out of Washington state Teams Are required to obtain appropriate travel papers from state or provincial associaton.

Entry Fee: $480.00 US funds and MUST accompany the registration confirmation form and tentative team roster. Checks or money orders need to be made payable to "W.S.C." Entry fee refunds shall not be made after July 6, 2009Team's applications are not considered complete until printed out tournament application form is submitted to the WSC offices with  fees paid in full. A completed tournament application form, entry fee and tentative team roster must be postmarked no later than July 6th. We will continue to accept applications after the deadline date if there is space available, otherwise your check will be returned and you will be placed on a waiting list.

Tournament Location: Northwest Soccer Park, 5238 Northwest Drive, Bellingham WA and Meridian High School.  The Northwest Soccer Park is one of the finest soccer complexes in the Northwest, featuring a fully equipped concession building and restroom facility, 31 acres of lush green grass, and a breathtaking view of Mt. Baker.  The Northwest Soccer Park is located in Northwest Washington State, just 10 minutes from downtown Bellingham and 20 minutes from the Canadian boarder. Meridian HS, located 4 minutes away from Northwest Soccer Park will have 4 high quality grass fields which may be used in the event of the number of teams applied. This region offers spectacular sightseeing opportunities from the mountains to the sea. Hotels, shopping and entertainment are only minutes away.

Acceptance:  The Rimland Pacific Cup is a high level all girl's tournament.  In an attempt to provide the highest level of competition teams will be accepted based on: 1) State Cup Champion  2)Out of state 3) Overall team strength 4)Previous tournament historyThe Rimland Pacific Cup strives to create equitable levels of competition and if we have enough teams we will form a second tier bracket within an age group. Notification of acceptance/decline will be e-mailed out by July 11.

Format:  The Rimland Pacific Cup divisions are established to attempt to field the strongest level of competition for girls soccer possible.  Depending upon the number of teams at a particular age group a second tier bracket maybe formed to provide equitable competition.  Teams will play in a four team matrix whenever possible and be guaranteed at least three games. U-11-U14 will play 30 minute halves and U15-U19 will play 35 minute halves.  U11 teams will play 9 a-side on a 50 yd x 90yd field. U12-19 will play 11 a-side on full size fields. We reserve the right to combine or modify age divisions should the need arise to balance competition.

Schedules: We anticipate schedules to be mailed out to you no later then July 24, 2009. We try to accommodate all requests for late games on Friday. However, this is not always possible. Please be prepared to play an early game on Friday. Teams are scheduled to play one game on Friday and two games on Saturday. Semifinal and finals will be played on Sunday.

Awards:  1st and 2nd place winners in each division will receive individual awards and one team award. All rostered players and coaches will receive tournament mementos.

Withdrawing from the Tournament: After July 6, 2009, teams wishing to withdraw from the tournament must notify us in writing. There will be no refunds issued to teams withdrawing after July 6th.  Prior to July 6, 2009, teams wishing to drop out must notify us in writing; refunds will be issued less a $35.00 handling fee.
